    Our Scholarship Holders 2022/23

    Portrait of Patrick Brodisch

Besides my studies, I work for both action family e.V. and ChefTreff. As a youth leader at Action Family, I organize the vacation camps, and at ChefTreff, as Lead of Operations and Network, I work with my team of eight students and young professionals to put together what is now Germany's largest talent event. It's not always easy to juggle everything. The Deutschlandstipendium has helped me financially to implement my voluntary activities with Action family and ChefTreff and to make my everyday life during my semester abroad more carefree. I am convinced that support from the scholarship can provide a certain freedom to implement other projects alongside my studies.

The Deutschlandstipendium’s financial support has been of great help for me. Specifically, for financing my studies. I also dedicated part of this financial aid to further personally develop myself: I took German courses that allow me to better integrate into the German community and have better professional opportunities. Another very important thing for which the Deutschlandstipendium helped me was for my visa. Having this scholarship facilitated my visa process and helped me meet the financial requirements needed.

    Portrait of Madhav Patel

The Deutschlandstipendium provided me with a safety net and some relief amid this rising inflation to help me with my daily expenses. I donated a portion of my scholarship money to a NGO. The NGO takes care of adults and children with down syndrome from poor families which cannot afford private facilities. We also organized a meal for underprivileged children of my locality and provided them with school stationaries. As an international student at KLU, the student period is a very stressful period with respect to finances. Students try to save every possible penny to minimize their expenses. The students at KLU come from all sorts of backgrounds and have their own fights and challenges going on in their life. Each student has their own unique story, and they are the heroes of it. A helping hand in the form of the Deutschlandstipendium plays an important role in a student’s mental and physical well-being and it also motivate students to contribute towards society.

    Portrait of Joomeen

Thanks to the Deutschlandstipendium, I was able to better focus on extracurricular activities such as Advisupply and the buddy program. I would not have pursued my ambitions if I had been preoccupied with other issues that prevented me from being productive. The financial aid gave me a sense of responsibility and that someone had counted on me, which motivated me to move forward in daily life. I believe that the engagement of companies could bring a strong synergistic effect to students who are studying with ambitions while giving the opportunity to grow both from an academic perspective and a social perspective.
